It was early morning of July 17, 2014 when I received a call from the school where my daughter was doing her research work. "Your daughter is now here at the emergency room of the hospital", the caller told me. "She had a stroke and half of her body is paralyzed", she continued. I felt my heart beating so fast! She is just 21 years old and very young? How could this thing happened to her when all her laboratory test are all normal?
Many questions are popping out from my head and the only way to answer to all these questions is to to see my daughter as soon as I can. Next thing I knew is that I am on a ship on the way to the island where she is confined in a hospital. "Lord, spare her life " that is all I could say in my prayers that very day.
God is so good! She recovered her strength the same day and discharged four days after when she completed her examinations. Tod's paralysis ...the Doctor told me but she must undergo MRI exam as outpatient to confirm. After a series of test and examinations, the final diagnosis is...CVD secondary to Infarct. Which means cardiovascular disease resulting from a dead tissue in the brain.
I could not believed my ears! She is too young to have this medicines as her lifetime maintenance. But the doctor told me, it is now very common among young adults now. Whatever reasons behind these attack only one thing I knew she is now back to her normal life, no visible trace of what the disease brought to her. And I give thanks to HIM who live up there!

Flashback
It 's been a while that I have not sit down on my computer table and write a post.
I don't know but life has been so busy that I hardly had time to pause even for a while.
Looking back 2013 was full of many challenges not only for my self and my family but for the entire community as well.
Flashback...
August 2013- two big ships collided . Sulpicio Cargo Ship and 2GO Shipping Lines
October 2013- Earthquake hit Central Visayas region
November 2013 - Typhoon Yolanda swept the country .
December 2013 - The first time Christmas was not celebrated.
2013 was the year that many lives were destroyed and thousand others left homeless. It was a nightmare to many people including me. But it was also the time when people joined together with one force, worked hand in hand to help save what the disaster has left behind.
Many brave stories were told and many heroic deeds were left untold too! Only one thing I know for sure, we survived and we continue to live. And we give thanks to the One who is faithful and just who is watching us from above.
